Fintona achieved outstanding VCE results for 2008
Fintona congratulates the Class of 2008 for achieving outstanding results. With a median ENTER of 90.4, the results of the Class of 2008 maintained our proud history of achieving consistently high VCE scores. The dedication and care of our staff and the commitment and ability of our students have fostered these remarkable achievements.
2008 VCE highlights at a glance
- 12% of students achieved an ENTER of 99+ placing them in the top 1% of the State.
- 50% of students achieved an ENTER of 91+ placing them in the top 9% of the State.
- 79% of students achieved an ENTER of 80+ placing them in the top 20% of the State.
- Eight students achieved ENTER scores of 99+ :
Stephanie Wong, Victoria Villagosh, Annie Chen, Nicole Conway, Rebecca Ling, Kathleen Du, Brittany Wilkins and Charlotte Ramage. - Six perfect study scores were achieved in the following subjects :
Charlotte Ramage (Accounting), Brittany Wilkins (Art), Nicole Conway (English Language), Michelle Chua, Year 11 student (Biology), Stephanie Wong (Psychology) and Katherine McIntyre, Year 11 student (Psychology).
Fintona congratulates most especially Stephanie Wong, the Dux for 2008, for achieving an ENTER score of 99.85. She is currently studying Medicine at the University of Adelaide.
Fintona's Principal, Mrs Suzy Chandler, said : ‘We are very proud of the Class of 2008 and know that they go off to the next stage of their lives with an outstanding education and a set of values that we hope will carry them through life. Academic skills alone cannot reflect the many other things the students have done this year in areas such as social justice, nor can they suggest the fine nature of their individual dispositions and rich contribution to the life of the School.'
