Fintona Girls' School is a K-12, non-denominational day school for girls, based on Christian values. Our aim is to cater for individual student needs through a broad-based education program which provides for intellectual, social, physical, moral, ethical, spiritual and aesthetic development.

Fintona holds fast to its motto Age Quod Agis - do what you do well. From its foundation in 1896, Fintona's vision has been guided with foresight and determination to educate young women at the highest level, breaking down barriers to women's full participation.

Our ethos is based on ideals of inclusion and equality and aims to create a friendly, supportive, safe and caring learning environment. Our priority is for each student to develop a sense of self-worth, enthusiasm for learning, respect for others and to be optimistic about the future.

A strong sense of social justice underpins everything we do. Students are encouraged to use the benefits of education not only for personal advancement, but for the benefit of the community, society and the preservation of the planet and all living things. An emphasis is placed on co-operation through the House system, and the School's values are reflected throughout the curriculum and the life of the School.
