OFA Membership

The Old Fintonians' Association (OFA) currently has approximately 1450 financial members. Their current addresses are on our database. Membership is offered to students during their Year 12, but is available to any student who has been educated at Fintona. Currently membership is offered at $150.00 for life membership.

By becoming a paid member, you are then able to seek election to the Old Fintonians' Association Committee. Involvement at Committee level is enjoyable and exciting as it enables a past student to actively participate in shaping the future of the Association for our Alumni and to have an influence on the direction of our Association. Committee members are also responsible for working with the Alumni Officer to suggest changes to the reunion program or to help co-ordinate social events.

Membership to the Association also entitles you to seek nomination to the Fintona Company. In 1961, Margaret Cunningham handed the deeds to the School to the Old Fintonians' Association: ‘It has been my intent to make a gift of the School, its land, buildings and assets to the Old Girls and staff of the school. In order to receive this gift it has been necessary to set up a continuing and self-perpetuating body and this has been done by the formation of a Company to be known as Fintona Girls School. Its membership will be open to past pupils and teachers'. (Margaret Cunningham of Fintona by Joan Gillison pg 166). Approximately 90 Alumni are nominated to The Company, and the Fintona Board is appointed from The Company.

The Committee meets every 2 months in the Tourmont building at 7 p.m. Please contact Fiona Zito, OFA President, if you wish to attend a meeting. Visitors considering membership are most welcome to attend.
