Year 6 students spend three days in Canberra

17 March 2017

Year Six students spent three days in the nation’s capital investigating a term’s work on Government. Each day was filled with new adventures learning about preferential voting, Parliament House, the role of the High Court, the Australian Institute of Sport, how Australia was affected by conflict in the past at the War Memorial, how coins are minted and art appreciation at the National Gallery. They enjoyed staying at the Institute of Sport amongst the athletes, learning about daily training routines and experiencing first hand how well athletes eat. We have discovered we have some future potential politicians in our midst. Watch out Malcolm Turnbull.
