Students celebrate LOTE Week

4 August 2017

Bonjour. Konnichiwa. Salve. Selamat.

LOTE Week was celebrated at Fintona this week to encourage students to appreciate language and culture.

At Fintona, students have the opportunity to study three languages: French, Japanese and Latin.

These languages and their culture were highlighted this week with an assortment of classroom activities.

Everyday, the canteen featured a delicious menu featuring food from France, Japan, Italy and Indonesia.

On Thursday, a Francophone assembly was held to celebrate the French language which is spoken in many countries around the world, not just France. Junior School students, representing a number of Francophone countries, delighted students by singing songs in French.
