Fintona girls come first and third in the State in new French oral competition

'Félicitations' to two of our students who came in first and third place in the Association of French Teachers in Victoria's (AFTV) inaugural Concours Lycéens oral competition for Year 11-12 students. In the Year 12 division, student Mia Geljic won the first prize in the State and Sarah Burger won third place.

Another Year 12 student, Zoe Shwerkolt, was among the 8 finalists in the Year 12 division and Sophie Schwerkolt was a finalist in the Year 11 division. Fintona's representation at the highest level in this competition affirms the quality of our language teachers who enthusiastically worked with their students to achieve success.

The final took place on Sunday 17 July, at the State Library of Victoria, during the Bastille Day Festival.
