Our Winter Concert Series showcased Fintona’s musi Our Winter Concert Series showcased Fintona’s musicians, with students from Year 2 to Year 12 taking to the stage.🎶 From Fintona Voices and the Soul Band, to Tourmont Strings and the Harp Ensemble, students shared their music with enthusiasm and confidence across performances on two nights. Congratulations to Kay Lee (Year 6), who was a fin Congratulations to Kay Lee (Year 6), who was a finalist in the Kew Future Leaders’ Speech Competition. Held at the State Parliament of Victoria and adjudicated by Jess Wilson MP, the Leader of the Opposition, the competition challenges students to share their vision for the future and speak on issues important to them and their community. Kay Lee delivered a well-researched and thoughtful speech on the importance of mental health and wellbeing for school students. Team colours, footy activities and plenty of fun w Team colours, footy activities and plenty of fun were all part of Footy Fun Day for our ELC and Junior School students and staff. Instead of a gold coin donation, families donated comfort items including games, books, candles, hand cream, and puzzles to the Fight Cancer Foundation. The items will help provide a welcoming environment for families staying at the charity’s patient accommodation centres while relocating to Melbourne for cancer treatment. Thank you to our Fintona community for supporting families living with cancer. #thisisfintona #doitwell #agequodagis
At Fintona, the Play Project brings our youngest a At Fintona, the Play Project brings our youngest and oldest students together for time to connect, have fun and play. Now in its second year, the project gives Year 12 students the opportunity to spend some of their spare periods in the ELC, where they can take a break from their studies and enjoy unstructured time with our younger students. It has been a wonderful way for our ELC students to make new friends, while our Year 12s enjoy the chance to recharge and rediscover the simple joy of play. #thisisfintona #doitwell #agequodagis
