Fintona’s Grandparents and Special Friends Day is a valued event on our school calendar.
The day provides students in the Early Learning Centre, Junior and Middle Schools with the opportunity to welcome grandparents and special friends into the school, sharing their learning and offering insight into what it is like to be a Fintona student.
Whether through a tour of the playground, classroom activities, assembly performances or lunch together, students take great pride in showing their guests around and sharing their school experiences. In turn, grandparents and special friends often share their own reflections and stories about school life from many years ago.
We thank all grandparents and special friends who join us each year to help celebrate the connection between generations and strengthen the partnership between home and school.
