Global Recognition for Fintona's Capital Campaign
From our campus in Balwyn to the global stage: our Performing Arts Centre Capital Campaign has taken out the 2026 Global Winner title in the Capital Campaigns or Major Gifts Program category at the Educate Plus International Conference.
The biennial Educate Plus Excellence Awards celebrates innovation, impact and excellence among schools and institutions worldwide, so being named global winner is a standing ovation moment for Fintona. It’s recognition of the vision, commitment and generosity that have driven a campaign to create a truly transformational space – our new three-storey Performing Arts Centre, which is on schedule for a grand opening in early 2027.
Every great production has a cast, and ours starts right here at School: Development and Community Engagement Manager Adele McIntosh, Marketing and Communications Manager Zoe Alexiades, and Principal Rachael Falloon, who brought creativity, strategic thinking and unwavering belief in what this project could become. Behind the scenes, a talented crew of collaborators helped bring the vision to life, including Creative Designer Mark O’Keeffe, Videographer Marcus Cobbledick, Michael Nicholas who took our printing needs in hand, and Shuie Gestetner and Arnold Angelo from Charidy, who built a seamless online experience for our donors.
None of this would have been possible without the full ensemble of staff, students, alumnae, parents, volunteers and supporters who championed the campaign, both on stage and off.
Above all, Fintona thanks the community members whose generosity brought this project to life. To date, 25% of families have donated, 160 seats have been named, and 19 rooms carry a family’s name.
The curtain hasn’t fallen yet. There’s still time to take your place in this story, donate or name a seat, and leave your mark on a space built to inspire generations of Fintona girls to come.
