We are beyond excited for Old Fintonian and Fintona's current coach Georgia Griffith who has been selected for the 2021 Australian Olympic Team.
In July Georgia will compete at the Tokyo Olympics in the 1500m.
Sharing the news on her Instagram account, Georgia said, ‘Words can’t express how over the moon I am or how incredibly thankful I am for my amazing support team who got me to this point. This has been my most challenging season yet from both a physical and mental side, as I’ve had to work through some frustrating injuries. It’s been an absolute journey but I’m so proud I never gave up.’
Overcoming injury the past few months, Georgia’s optimistic outlook always shone through. She is a true inspiration for our aspiring runners and we look forward to cheering Georgia on!
