Once again, we saw some incredible crew and individual performances from our rowers over the course of the Head of the Schoolgirls Regatta weekend, bringing the 2022/2023 rowing season to a close.
The training, the early morning sessions in unpredictable weather, and the competitions held throughout the entire Rowing season, all help to build camaraderie, friendship, and resilience in our rowers.
From a heart-stopping semi-final from our Senior Single Sculler, Madeleine, to a hard-fought final from our Year 9 Division 3 Quad, nothing was left on the course and every rower gave it their all.
The Squad worked extremely hard this rowing season and has been completely dedicated to the sport they love. And we are proud of every individual’s achievements.
Thank you to the whole Rowing squad, and everyone who came to support the girls at all the Regattas and most importantly the HOSG weekend. A special and whole-hearted thank you to Friends of Rowing, the parents. Without your support, none of this could happen.
Congratulations to all the Fintona rowers and coxswains on a fantastic season and farewell to our Year 12 students who have committed themselves and embodied the Fintona spirit for the last four seasons.
