Give your child a wonderful start at Fintona’s ELC. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our nurturing environment celebrates inquiry and play, encouraging every child to explore, wonder, create and thrive.
‘At our Junior Campus, I want every child to walk through our gates each day knowing they belong, that they are known for who they are, and that they matter. These early years are so important in laying the foundations for learning and life, and when children feel safe, valued, and genuinely connected, they develop the confidence to be themselves, embrace new challenges and flourish.’ Jackie Dimattina

Mansour Family
Thank you, Fintona. Our daughter (Year 4) and daughter (Prep) attended the ELC at Fintona from the age of 3 and we are incredibly grateful for their experience. The girls were nurtured and developed a strong sense of belonging. Their transition into Junior School was seamless, a reflection of the confidence and readiness fostered during their time at the ELC.

Fintona’s ELC program is thoughtfully structured to include various opportunities in developing the childrens’ interests in music, literacy, sports and developing confidence. Many aspects of the day have been meticulously planned to optimise learning through play . Parents are also privy to detailed weekly reflections which allows an upkeep to the rhythm and natural flow through the term. The educators are beyond wonderful and possess all the qualities to welcome and nurture the 3 and 4 year olds in a way that truly supplements the upbringing from home. We cannot recommend the program highly enough and are very grateful to the school for carefully partaking in our childs education and journey!
The changes I have noticed in my child have been: better confidence, better fine motor skills through encouragement in art, ongoing interest in literacy, enjoyment of music and songs and a general happiness and excitement to ‘go to school’.

To describe Fintona’s ELC in three words: supportive, structured, community-focused.
It emphasises intentional structured play-based learning guided by supportive educators who are focused on early childhood development, not just supervision.
My children have become more confident and willing to try things on her own. They have also become more comfortable with routine and take pride in small responsibilities.
Both my children have had very positive experience. It’s nurturing but also very focused on building independence and love of learning.
We were really drawn to the balance between a nurturing environment and a strong educational focus. It felt like a place where our children would be supported emotionally but also genuinely engaged in learning.
